Single Malt Scotch Tasting
"Scotch Whisky Basics:
A Good-Natured Review of the
What, When, Where, Why, How and Who of Scotch Whisky!"
on April 12, 2021
on Zoom
The April Member’s Meeting will begin at 7:30pm
and the Whisky Tasting to begin approximately 8pm.
Pre-Registration is required for both the Member's Meeting and the Whisky Tasting. You can register for both here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Please feel free to invite your friends who would also be interested in this virtual whisky tasting. They will need to pre-register for the event as well.
This time, we will not be tasting any particular whiskies, so you are free to have any whiskies you wish. We ask that you bring a single malt whisky to taste while we talk, and we may ask you to tell us about yours. We recommend an "official bottling" rather than one with a brand name. That is, one that features the name of the distillery, and was put out by the producer rather than by an independent bottler.
Kevin has compiled a list of many of the whiskies you may expect to see in stores, along with a brief description of many of them. The list includes many whiskies priced at $100 or less, but you, of course, may have any Scotch whisky you like.
We look forward to sharing stories, questions and reviewing what we have learned in our 29 tastings as we expand our knowledge and enjoyment while delighting in incomparable fellowship! Slàinte!
