We held our annual President's Dinner this past Friday night and it was a fine time! As is our custom where haggis is served, Society Trustee Ian Day introduced the dish and recited Robert Burns' "Address to a Haggis." Enjoy!

New comes of the passing of Joan Henderson, mother of Jody Henderson-Sykes. The Henderson family have been active in the Society for a long time, and Jody has a special involvement in the Caledonian Dancers. Our sincere sympathy to Jody and the family.

We had a wonderful whisky tasting last night presented by Chris Riesbeck, U.S. Brand Ambassador for Gordon & MacPhail. He discussed Independent Bottlings and presented six Gordon & MacPhail whiskies:

Joan Maryniak, mother of our president Lyle Maryniak, died on March 1, 2014. Details here. Our deepest sympathies to Lyle and his family.
Word has just come that John Alley died last night. He was a long-time member of the Society, serving in many posts including that of President from 1993–1996. Arrangements are pending.
